Flatland Films has traversed through the professional world of Film and Television for the past seventeen years. Award winning cinematography for documentary work right out of the gate, the company has hit the ground running and has never stopped.

Michael Yaremchuk started his professional career in the camera department on several large budget dramatic works. Rapidly moving up the ranks in the camera department and right in the center of many features, episodic and national commercial spots, here Michael observed the lighting and camera craft from several notable cinematographers.

Harnessing this wealth of knowledge he quickly developed his own style and unique eye on smaller dramatic pieces, and his true desire, documentaries. Gaining a diverse set of skills he traveled both the worlds of dramatic production and documentaries for several years. Treating each medium with the utmost respect to the image.
Eventually the quest to learn more about the world and its cultures won out and Flatland Films put all their efforts in documentary and corporate informational productions. At first mainly in production, they eventually added the roles of Director and Producer, and Editor. Multi National Corporations like Hormel Foods, Best Buy, Hostess Brands, Mayo Clinic entrusted him to get their message to the public. Shooting in diverse locations such as the edges of the Sahara Desert to the far north of Canada engage all of his skills and passions. Flatland Films continues to produce, direct, and shoot commercial and informational pieces for both broadcast and corporations.

More importantly Flatland Films likes to discover and engage their surroundings and the unique people in those paths. To experience life in their career, and create messages that expel the same zest that they have for them.
